Arrondissement of Gap

Arrondissement Gap je francouzský arrondissement v departementu Hautes-Alpes v regionu Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Jeho hlavním městem a prefekturou je město Gap, největší město departementu.

 

Historie

Když byl v roce 1800 vytvořen departement Hautes-Alpes, byl arrondissement Gap součástí tohoto původního departementu.

 

Zeměpis

Arrondissement Gap se nachází v jižní části departementu Hautes-Alpes. Na východě a jihu sousedí s departementem Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, na západě s departementem Drôme, na severu s departementem Isère a na severovýchodě s arrondissementem Briançon.

Arrondissement Gap je největší ze dvou arrondissementů departementu, a to jak rozlohou (3 410,5 km2 ), tak počtem obyvatel (104 131).
